The company

The Zof estate is located in Corno di Rosazzo within the Colli Orientali del Friuli that, though small, has a great winegrowing tradition.
Weather and climate, the orientation to the sun, and the soil, are all essential elements that when masterfully balanced contribute to crafting a product of excellence.

The Zof estate and winery comes from four generations of passionate winemakers, who have developed some 15 hectares of vineyards.

This story begins in 1992,

when Daniele Zof takes the reins of the family legacy.

Aware of the complexity behind producing seemingly effortless, simple but refined wine, Daniele seeks the guidance of Donato Lanati, well recognised master oenologist. The collaboration between the two, which lasts ten years, allows Daniele to refine his winemaking techniques and obtain not only microbiologically high quality wine, but also wine that delivers a powerful, emotional experience. So much so as to significantly enhance this added value made of history, tradition and the people behind the wine.

Production at the Zof estate,which is almost equally divided between whites and reds, offers a selection of classical local wines, including the renowned Ribolla Gialla, Friulano, Schioppettino, and Pignolo, as well as international varietal wines, namely Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet. The Daniele Zof range of premium wines and blends are uniquely enticing and well appreciated. We know very well that to achieve outstanding wine you need to integrate state-of-the-art technology into age old winemaking practices, without compromising on the delicate balance that guarantees genuine and refined wine.

At Zof we have two distinct facilities to enhance and create the most favourable environment for the winemaking process. The winery is equipped with the latest technology featuring temperature controlled stainless steel vats and modern crushing and destemming machines. The cellar, which features stone walls, is where the wines age in French oak barrels under optimal conditions. At Zof we are strongly committed to blending tradition and technology to fully enhance every single vintage.
